Fly Higher Than Ever With Air Force Paychecks

True to its “world’s largest and most powerful” label, the US Air Force offers some of the most attractive paychecks to its active-duty fliers and ground staff. And it doesn’t stop here, air force recruits who work hard and prove their mettle also enjoy swift promotions accompanied by generous increments; allowances; bonuses; and an array of great benefits, something few civilian companies can match. What’s more, basic salaries in the US Air Force keep pace with promotions, and the number of years put in by members.

Paychecks jump with promotions

If the sky is the limit for the US Air Force, so are the big basic paychecks it offers with each promotion. After all, where else will you receive a basic salary of over $1200 a month as a mere entry-level recruit WITH some big increments each time to fly up the ranks? Then again, where else will you receive over $2400 a month in just a second year of training and big paycheck jumps with each promotion then on?  … You’re right, in the US Air Force!

Special-duty pay just got better

Perhaps, another factor that compels people to join the US Air Force is the high value, special-duty pay it offers in addition to basic pay. The substantial amounts paid by the Air Force as special-duty pay is an incentive enjoyed by Air Force personnel who are assigned ‘special-situation’ duties. Personnel deployed outside the US who face situations such as terrorism, civil war, or warlike environments are eligible for substantially high monetary compensations under the Air Force’s “Imminent Danger” incentive category. On the other hand, Air Force members operating in war zones such as Iraq and Afghanistan are also eligible to receive high value monetary compensations categorized under “Hardship Duty”.
