
Fuel is one of the most used resource within the United States Air Force. It is used to power the aircraft, vehicles and other forms of equipment used throughout the base. This valuable commodity has to be properly stored and used in order to maintain safety and to prevent unnecessary threats or losses. The job of the Fuels Apprentice in the United States Air Force is to manage the fuel and make sure it is being stored and utilized correctly.
Increasing Levels of Duty
As you grow in your position as Fuels Apprentice, so will your responsibilities. You will start out by driving the fuel truck and fueling all of the planes on the flight line. You will then move up to fuel control centers filling orders made by different departments. You may eventually be assigned to the bulk facility where millions of gallons are stored every day.

As an enlisted member of the USAF, you will receive the training you need to complete you duties. You will than work in your chosen field as you learn all the components necessary to do your job. Everything you learned in training as well as everything learn on the job will prepare you for a career whether you stay in the military or not.
