There are several Air Force publications, which give information about the activities of the Air Force. If you have some query, general question or comment about this formidable force of the US Armed Forces, you can refer to the Air Force Publications.

The US Air Force has several Air Force Publications. Some of those are - AFMAN 36 - 2203 Drill and Ceremonies, AFMAN 36 - 2105 Officer Classification, AFH 33 - 337 The Tongue and Quill, AFI 36 - 2903 Dress and Appearance Guide etc.

Many Air Force publications are available online these days. However, the Air Force has taken some precautionary measures as part of the security upgrade in the aftermath of 9/11. To access some items you need to configure your web browser for 128-bit encryption. This restrictive measure does not mean that you need to have some affiliation with the US government to access those items. It only means that you need to have a high quality web browser. The list of those restricted items includes the publications of the Air University at Maxwell AFB.

In the US Air Force, divisions and major commands organize the Air Force Publications Electronic Forms. All those forms are available in PDF or IMT format. You can read all those free on Adobe Acrobat Reader or IMT Reader.

All Air Force publications are available as adobe acrobat files at www.e-publishing.af.mil/. You can search for items by general topic area, in case you don’t know the form or publication number. You can order those from NTIS. A CD ROM of regulations named, "Air Force Electronic Publishing Library" is also available for limited audience. This CD is not available for sale to the public.

Every Service in the United States Armed Forces maintains an index of their regulations. They update the indexes quarterly, semi-annually or annually. The Air Force releases a Numerical Index of Standard and Recurring Air Force publications. You can go through this index at
